I recently approached personal stylist Megan Woodfine-Jones to ask if she'd like to work with me to bring my customers some Spring outfit inspiration underpinned by their Ivy t's. Being guilty of this myself, it is so easy to wear the same looks and outfit combinations each and every day and I wanted to work with Meg to help you have the confidence to try new looks whilst still feeling comfortable, confident and most importantly, like you.
You can watch our Style Session here.
As an experienced personal stylist and busy mother, Meg understands how hard it is to find the time and energy to focus on yourself, and can help you discover an inner confidence when dressing for the day, whatever it has in store.
Meg says "I understand there is so much to consider when choosing your outfit, it can make getting dressed feel confusing and like hard work. My joy is in simplifying the process for you, by selecting styles and colours that will feel incredible to wear, to convey your true self - making you feel fantastic every day."
For our style session, Meg's approach was for us to style each item as if we're talking to the classic/natural style personality. I am a size 12/14 and wear my Ivy size 12's and Meg is a size 6/8 and wears a mix of size 6 and 8's.
She says, "I think so many of us fall into the easy going classic or natural style personality. Whether it's because we're mothers or have time constraints, work or other commitments, we're not able to be as experimental as we would like to be.
I want to explore the idea of elevating the classic/natural looks through print clashing and layering, giving the individual a sense of excitement to get dressed each morning.
The objective of our video is to have you reach for the Breton or classic tee, and not only know how to style it in an easy-going, classic way but to also give women the opportunity to be able to learn new techniques when thinking of how to style these versatile pieces."
It was so much fun working with Meg and I hope you find this useful and enjoy the looks that we have put together for you. To find out more about Megs services, from wardrobe edits to personal shops, head to her website.
