We spoke to Rachel, a long-time customer and Ivy VIP, to talk about her style, what we could do better, and how we compare to other online clothing brands she shops with. Rachel told us about her love of comfort, versatility, and effortless style, and how Ivy has become a central part of her everyday wardrobe.

Let's dive into the conversation with Rachel.
Can you introduce yourself?
I’m Rachel, I live in Yorkshire with my family, and I work in SEND and I’m also a part-time jewellery teacher. I discovered Ivy in 2024 through sustainable fashion writer, Hannah Rochell, so I've been a customer for a little over a year and I'm now an Ivy VIP.
How would you describe your style? And what’s your main wardrobe concern?
I like to feel comfortable and not restricted. Comfort is key for me. I need to know that whatever I put on, I’ll feel good straight away. I also love how versatile Ivy’s pieces are. I can wear my same Orla striped t-shirt with sequined trousers, or dressed down with shorts. Versatility is important, it’s important to be able to wear things for multiple reasons.
How does Ivy compare with other brands you shop with online?
So I do mostly shop with smaller, quality brands online, and I choose more sustainable brands .
One of the things that I like about your brand. It's very clear on what you are - it’s clear you do good t-shirts and just really good quality, staple products. And I know you've got all your dresses and the jersey bottoms too, which are amazing, by the way, but it’s knowing you always do really good versatile, staples that’s what I love.
Be honest, what do you think of Ivy’s clothing range?
I love the quality and the fit of the t-shirts. I love the Hannah t-shirt - I’m a bit obsessed. Hannah is lovely, just perfect length. I love stripes too, like this Orla black and white stripe tee that I’m wearing now.
All the products are just really good. Like really good. The dresses are so easy. The short dress, Emma, is just fab, and I love my black Megan dress. If I’m having a day when I just have no clue what to put on it’s just SO easy to wear, throw on a bit of jewellery on with it and you’re good to go! It’s so easy.
Is there anything you think we could do better?
Not at all. I love how you package things — it feels like there’s real care and attention. Delivery is quick, I’ve never had any problems.
How do you find our fit and sizing guidance on our website?
Yeah, it's good. So I'm a size 14 / 16, but sometimes I'll buy size 12 in Ivy too. I use the size charts on the product pages, especially when it's a product or style, and I use the fit guides online. I've never had to send anything back, so it just proves that your products and guidance are really good.
I think with the short Emma dress, I ended up getting a 14 just because of the reviews and your description on the product page, which was bang on.
If you could describe Ivy in three words, what comes to mind?
Reliable. Easy. Effortless. Ivy’s like that friend you know and can trust - or that great wine you know you’ll always love.
