We live in a fast fashion society, shopping for the sake of shopping and chasing the potent but fleeting high of buying something new.
The clothing industry has a terrible reputation for miserable working conditions in its factories and for wasting products and resources at every stage of its processes.
The statistics are depressing and society's bad habits so pervasive, that what you do as an individual can seem totally insignificant in the general scheme of things.
What you do does matter. By choosing to reject fast fashion and to buy better and buy less you are making a stand and setting an example to others.
And when hundreds of thousands of people make positive changes to their habits, the tide will shift towards a more sustainable way of life.
We work with a factory in Portugal that is accredited for both its environmental initiatives and the fair treatment of its staff. Read more about this here.
We restock in deliberately small batches to minimise wastage. We also endeavour to use eco-friendly product packaging to get our t-shirts safely to your door. The boxes, mailing bags, recycled tissue paper and parcel tape we use are all biodegradable and/or 100% recyclable.
All Ivy garments are made from premium organic cotton, which is one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics out there. It requires 71% less water in production and 62% less energy than conventional cotton.
“By using organic methods 1,982 gallons of water is saved per cotton t-shirt.”
All Ivy tees wash well to ensure they last for multiple seasons. Named after friends and families girls, each style is loved by us from conception and intended to become your most-loved wardrobe staples
that you rely on and return to time after time.
Perfect for layering, Ivy tees can we worn through out the year and will coordinate with lots of garments you already own.
