I V Y x S L O W E T T E - behind the collaboration

Posted by Sally McLaren on

Slowette founder, Hannah Rochell first came across Ivy in July 2023 having seen Zoe De Pass (AKA Dress Like a Mum) wearing her Ivy tee. We soon got chatting on Instagram and Hannah tried out a couple of our tees, both of which she still wears on a weekly basis.

As a slow fashion advocate, Hannah was instantly drawn to our brand ethos, sustainability credentials, our stripes, and the fact that you can shop by sleeve length on our website!

Organic Cotton Clothing

Fast forward a few months and we met in London when we both happened to be visiting. It was then that we had the idea to collaborate on a tee. The choice of shape was obvious for Hannah - it had to be Erin. Our best selling shape that she has come to love for its boxy and relaxed cut and loose ¾ sleeve.

And the stripe?

Hannah’s idea was to incorporate her Slowette brand colours (green to match her wardrobes, yellow and pink) into a bold block stripe. So, here it is. In our buttery soft signature organic cotton jersey, that’ll wash amazingly for you and feel just as great when you wear it a year from now.

Hannah says “I love the shape and fit of Erin so much. The loose fit and ¾ sleeves make it an absolute dream for styling with loads of different outfits in my wardrobe, year-round. The slightly retro colour palette of these stripes, taken from the Slowette logo, remind me of childhood tees I wore in the 80s, while feeling totally current at the same time. I’m so thrilled to collaborate with Sally and one of my favourite, most-worn brands.”
